Locksmith Guide
Key codes for this HON66 system normally begin with K, L, M, or N. The code series is K001–K999, L001–L999, M001–M999, and N001–N718.
When manually cutting a key, pay special attention to position 5. A master key normally uses depth 5 at this position, while the valet function uses depth 2. The valet cut can control glove-box, rear-seat pass-through, trunk, or trunk lock-out operation when equipped. Positions 1–4 use split tumblers. Position 5 is a solid tumbler with two possible depths, and position 6 is always precut to depth 1.

Recommended Ways to Make a Key
-
Decode with HON66 Lishi: Use a HON66 lock reader/decoder.
-
Check available cylinders: Inspect the glove-box, trunk, or valet lock-out cylinder, if equipped, and read the stamped code where available.
-
Door lock method: Remove the door-lock cylinder and read the stamped code, or disassemble the cylinder to determine the cuts.
Locksmith note: Some glove-box covers are sealed, and door-lock access can be time-consuming. Some glove boxes may contain more tumblers than others.
